By accessing or using MapTools at map-tools.com(the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

MapTools is a free, browser-based collection of geographic measurement tools. It allows users to:

• Find and convert GPS coordinates (DD, DDM, DMS, UTM)
• Measure distances and paths on an interactive map
• Calculate land area and perimeter of drawn polygons
• Draw radius circles and compute derived measurements
• Run offline geo calculators (bearing, midpoint, bounding box, unit conversion, speed/ETA)

The Service is provided free of charge, requires no account, and imposes no usage limits.

MapTools is designed for general-purpose estimation and informational purposes only. Although we use geodesic math on the WGS84 ellipsoid (the same standard as GPS), results should not be relied upon for:

• Navigation or aviation routing
• Legal surveying or property boundary determinations
• Safety-critical or emergency applications
• Any purpose where errors could result in personal injury, property damage, or legal liability

Always verify results with a licensed professional or certified instrument before making important decisions.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or impair the Service or its underlying infrastructure
• Scrape, harvest, or systematically extract data from the Service in a manner that places undue load on our servers or the OpenStreetMap tile servers
• Misrepresent the source or accuracy of outputs from the Service

The MapTools application code, design, and content are the property of MapTools and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute the source code without explicit permission.

Map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors and is available under the Open Database License (ODbL). Cartographic data is licensed under CC BY-SA 2.0.

The Service uses map tiles provided by OpenStreetMap. Use of OpenStreetMap is subject to the OpenStreetMap Foundation Privacy Policy and Tile Usage Policy. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of third-party services.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, MapTools and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or relating to the Service shall not exceed USD $0, reflecting the fact that the Service is provided entirely free of charge.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Republic of Korea.
